Gauchos are the free spirited folk of the Pampas, the endless plains where cows graze and corn, soy and wheat grow under the sun.
In the colonial times, the Gauchos would roam around the Pampas herding cattle, sleeping under the stars and living a live of romantic freedom. As the Pampas became divided into ranches, these Gauchos -skilled at horseriding like no others- became its workers, becoming an essential part of the countryside folk and mystique.
In this day you'll learn about the story and traditions of the Gauchos, staring with a ride to San Antonio de Areco. This small town was in the Spanish silver route, and has some incredible silversmiths. After visiting the town, you'll head to a cattle ranch where you'll be able to horse ride and see some skill demonstrations by the Gauchos after an epic asado barbecue lunch.
After a traditional merienda you'll head back to Buenos Aires.
